Welcome to Disraelis

I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

What is DISRAELIS?

DISRAELIS stands for Disabled Israelis.

This project intends to enable Israeli men and women who were either wounded during their military service, became victims of terror attacks or lost a family member through the terror, to visit organizations and individuals in their homes abroad.

It enables the DISRAELIS to be detached from the stress, fear, and suffering that is a part of their daily life here in Israel and offers them a short respite within a recreational and fun visit abroad.

Among the activities offered during these vacations, emphasis is placed on get-togethers with hosting families, meeting their counterparts and visiting congregations.

The purpose is the exchange of ideas, building-up of friendships, and participating in mutual activities. Deepening companionship and finding new ways to live together in a better world has caught on.

The goal is to foster understanding and friendship among people of different nations. Only by getting to know each other can intolerance and prejudices be broken down especially between Israelis and Germans.

Participating in this project means above all to do something very special for Israel. These people who have given so much for their country are unique men and women that radiate true warmth and friendship among their hosts.

The encounter between DISRAELIS and people from different countries leads to lasting bonds of friendship, understanding and love.

The list of eligible DISRAELIS unfortunately is growing longer by the day and I hope to find interested people through this website from all over the world who would like to participate in this humane project.

Do please have a look at my homepage and contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.

The project started out initially between Christian hosting families in Germany and Switzerland and their DISRAELIS guests.

My webpage’s purpose is to promote the DISRAELIS Project and widen the scope of the many potential well-wishers world wide. Drawing upon the experience gathered in the many groups and individuals that have been so far sent mainly to Germany and Switzerland I envisage a large response from Israel’s many supporters from all over world.
